Located on the south-western tip of Costa Rica, the Osa Peninsula is home to 2.5% of the biodiversity of the world all contained in less than a thousandth of a percent of its total surface area.  National Geographic famously named Corcovado National Park “the most biologically intense place on earth”.

It is here on the Osa Peninsula nestled off-the-beaten-path in virgin rainforest you will find Blue Osa Yoga Retreat and Spa, an intimate beachfront eco-resort and yoga center I founded in 2007.

Who am I?

Known as Yogi Aaron I am a Master Teacher of Yoga, International Retreat Leader, author of ‘Autobiography of a Naked Yogi’, born-adventurer and avid animal lover.

My greatest desire is for people to realize the fragility of life and savor every precious moment. My mission is to hold space for those curious enough to become still and discover their own unique brilliance within.

I grew up in British Columbia, Canada where I was instilled with steely determination and a love for the great outdoors.  I felt called to yoga, it kept me awake at night until I made a lifetime commitment to become a devoted student. I travelled the world in search of the most highly regarded spiritual masters, and made pilgrimages to ashrams and retreat centers to understand the Vedic tradition and Tantric path.

I began instructing students in yoga asana, pranayama and philosophy in 1997.  I created a haven for people to come, practice and be themselves, and started leading workshops and retreats internationally.

I felt passionately compelled to open a retreat center and cultivate a yoga community in Costa Rica, and Blue Osa was born!

About Blue Osa

Blue Osa is a picture perfect, ocean kissed sanctuary that provides people with a space to recharge and re-connect, with an endless selection of quiet places to meditate and reflect.  From the friendly smiles of the staff to the organic farm-to-table meals prepared daily, everything is done mindfully and with love.
The stunning second floor yoga studio has views of the lush garden and the beach, and there is a chemical-free lap pool to cool off.  At one end of the pool is a pool deck with comfortable lounge sofas perfect for reading a good book.  At the other end of the pool is a beautiful Indian style temple with a fire kunda.
There is a full service spa onsite offering facials, body scrubs, massage and acupuncture, and the kitchen serves healthy, mostly plant-based meals as well as freshly-caught fish and locally-raised meat and poultry.
I offer fully accredited One-Month Immersion Teacher Trainings at Blue Osa, we host several yoga retreats as well as offer tailored individual packages.
